A good camera is one that can give us a predictable result.

An accurate exposure for the settings chosen, an even exposure over the whole frame and reliability – this is what we need for a good camera. An automatic exposure system is nice, but not really a crucial feature. We are talking about a form of art, not about reportage shooting, aren’t we?

 When we are shooting a well-prepared scene, there is always time to choose the right shutter speed/aperture combination. Even doing reportage photography, we have time to choose the right exposition, as photojournalists did in the days of film.
